Yum: Exploration of combination techniques

I love bringing exploration and experimentation into my work—mixing hands-on techniques with digital tools to push lettering further.
This one was inspired by the 1996 Lenticular Chupa Caps (look them up). As a kid, those abstract, weird, almost horror-like designs blew my mind—two images flipping to reveal a twisted side within. No idea how they got approved for kids, but I was obsessed.
I began exploring ways to add more complexity to the visuals by refining the image creation process. Rather than spending hours crafting the perfect text-to-image prompt, I decided to break the design down into two elements—tongue and mouth—created them separately, and then combined them later. When the lips were manipulated in Photoshop, the tongue was designed in Illustrator using the 3D tool and were processed with various structural and style references to get the desired outcome.
