I coded a tool that melts pixel fonts

Over my 3-year genai journey, I’ve observed its progress and what designers can achieve with it. Making type was and still is its weak point, and of course that largely depends on your expectations and how you engage with the model. For example generating victorian or script brush fonts is no longer an issue, but creating something truly fresh and cool is still a challenge. Which tbh is a challenge for human designers too.
While it can’t design a cool font on its own, it can certainly write code to build a tool that do. So that argument is slowly fading away.
