How I designed fake money (and turned it into an album cover)
There was a time when I focused more on conceptual projects—where meaning came first, and execution followed. Looking back, that approach made sense. These were the kinds of projects where designers explored metaphors and symbolism to create visuals with deeper impact.
One of those projects was the album cover for Talented Poor People by Mic Supreme. The concept was about talented but struggling artists who may not have much, but can still create something powerful—just like faking money when you don’t have it.
The notes were printed on 100gsm paper, mounted on a 76x76cm foam board, and arranged to form Mic’s face.
