Moolaadé — Concept poster

This poster was created in response to Moolaadé (2004), a film that explores a village community confronting the tradition of female circumcision. The design uses layered sheets of coloured paper to reference both the vibrant landscape and the close-knit community portrayed in the film. The central composition focuses on a simplified silhouette of the lower body, interrupted by a single cut through the paper layers. This gesture acts as a visual metaphor for a tradition passed down through generations, while reflecting the emotional tension at the heart of the story.
