Sputnik has a longstanding affinity with 80’s punk and rock and chose to dedicate this event to the music from that era. Joy Division’s iconic waveform — from Unknown Pleasures — was the main stylistic inspiration. Also incorporating a play on the theme of Post-it, which has a dual meaning here; ‘Post-era’ and ‘Post-it note’. The main artwork was executed in the form of pixels, or, post-it squares. Why not?
